Abstract

The article presents the history, role and place of applied and technical sciences within the structure of National Academy of sciences of Ukraine, the process of its self-reliant scientific status formation, specific features of native scientific search fundamentalization as well as various stages of the institution restructuring with the goal-seeking promotion of Ukrainian scientists to carry out basic researches.
