Chornobyl: a new evolution factor
Uncertain population genetic consequences
Abstract
The questions of investigation complexity of Chornobyl accident population genetic consequences connected with poorly investigated mechanisms of mutation origin are reviewed as well as changes of their carrier contribution in the next generation. The authors underline that still there is no success in getting standardized data on genetic effects of small doses of ionizing radiation that wouldn’t depend on analysis method and specific character of se parate DNA locus variability.
