The article is devoted to understanding the phenomenon of territoriality in the context of the formation of strategic priorities for the development of domestic socio-humanitarian sciences and the implementation of directions and objectives of state regional policy. It is emphasized that the geopolitical challenges facing Ukraine force to actualize the search for theoretical constructions for conflict resolution, as well as the representation of information-analytical and predictive potential of modern science. The establishment of a new culture of innovative thinking requires from the scientific community an interdisciplinary analysis of the problems of territorial identity and mentality, national and historical memory, regional consciousness and local levels of self-organization of society. It is proved that the search for consolidation ideas and integration mechanisms, advocacy of territorial integrity and inviolability of borders should become targets of socio-humanitarian research, powerful factors in the formation of national identity and unity. Spatial analysis based on such a foundation will not only prevent various threats and challenges, generate models of dynamic and balanced regional development of Ukraine, but also radically change society's attitude to the potential of socio-humanitarian science.
