Abstract

The article is devoted to the life and work of a famous scientist in the field of semiconductor physics, outstanding organizer of Ukrainian science, public figure, two-time winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology (1994, 2003), Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (1998), Director of the Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the NAS of Ukraine (2003–2014), Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2011–2014), Chairman of the High Attestation Commission of Ukraine (2003–2011), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1995), Professor (2007), Academician of the NAS of Ukraine (2009) V.F. Machulin.
