Abstract

December 21 marks the 100th anniversary of famous mathematician and mechanics scientist, specialist in analytical mechanics of solids and the theory of gyroscopes, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR in the field of science and technology (1976), honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine (2003), laureate of nominal prizes of the NAS of Ukraine named after M.M. Krylov (1987) and M.O. Lavrentiev (2003), head of the Analytical Mechanics Department at the Institute of Mathematics of the NAS of Ukraine (1965-2003), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1961), Professor (1966), Academician of the NAS of Ukraine (1992) Volodymyr M. Koshlyakov.
