Abstract

March 10 marks the 85th anniversary of the outstanding Ukrainian geneticist, plant breeder, Hero of Ukraine (2008), laureate of State Prizes in the field of science and technology of the USSR (1986), Ukrainian SSR (1982) and Ukraine (1997), honored worker of science and technology (1998), laureate of V.I. Vernadsky Gold Medal (2017) and V.Ya. Yuryev Prize (1993) of the NAS of Ukraine, director of the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the NAS of Ukraine (since 1986), doctor of biological sciences (1980), professor (1988), academician of the NAS of Ukraine (1990) Volodymyr V. Morgun.
