Reflections on the creative legacy of the luminary of domestic toxicology and preventive medicine I.M. Trachtenberg

Abstract

On January 27, 2023, almost 100-year earthly journey of our teacher and colleague, an outstanding toxicologist, hygienist, one of the founders of scientific school in preventive toxicology, essayist, public figure, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (2002), honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine (1994), laureate of Bogomolets Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2009), prizes in preventive medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (1995, 2002, 2009, 2015), doctor of medical sciences (1964), professor (1967), corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine (1992), academician of the NAMS of Ukraine (1997) Isaak M. Trachtenberg was ended. He fully devoted 75 years of his working life, intellectual, emotional, mental and spiritual energy to the development and selfless service to Ukrainian science, preventive medicine sphere, medical education, historiography, honoring in original memoir writings the memory of his wise predecessors, contemporaries, friends and like-minded people.
