The 2019 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, often called the Nobel Prize in Economics, was awarded to three American scientists— Abhijit Banerjeeі and Esther Duflo from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Michael Kremer from Harvard University — ”for their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty”.
