Abstract

The article describes the characteristics of the main scientific schools of Koretsky Institute of State and Law of NAS of Ukraine, a retrospective of their formation. Their activities and achievements over 70 years of existence of the institution are considered. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the main directions of the development of academic legal science, their evolution, the contribution of leaders of scientific schools and renowned lawyers to the study of problems of state and law, legal provision of state-building and law-making processes in Ukraine.
