Scientific foundations of arc additive technologies in special electrometallurgy and welding

Abstract

The report analyzes the current state of development of arc additive technologies in the world, shows the role of Ukrainian science in the implementation of achievements and developments in the domestic industry in this direction. The importance and urgency of research in the field of special metallurgy, welding and materials science conducted at the Paton Electrical Welding Institute of the NAS of Ukraine is noted. On the basis of these results, a new concept for controlling the structure of metals and alloys during crystallization is created and experimentally tested. Technological bases of production of metal materials with a single-crystal and controlled polycrystalline structure is developed.
