Environmental problems and energy saving of drinking and technological water treatment

Abstract

The article analyzes the environmental problems of Ukraine related to the pollution of the river Dnipro as the main source of drinking and technological water supply. The necessity of increasing the use of groundwater for the above-stated purposes is substantiated. The existing methods and equipment for water treatments are described. The new technological heat-mass-transfer equipment for the intensification of purification of artesian water from iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, fluoride is presented. The energy and process indicators and comparative characteristics of this equipment are presented.
