January 2 marks the 80^th anniversary of an outstanding mathematician in the field of ordinary differential equations and the theory of nonlinear oscillations, the founder of the world-famous scientific school on the theory of multifrequency oscillations and the theory of impulse systems, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prizes of Ukraine, several memorial awards of NAS of Ukraine, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Mathematics of NAS of Ukraine, Director of the Institute of Mathematics of NAS of Ukraine, Academician of NAS of Ukraine A.M. Samoilenko.
