Using the positive experience of the creation of technological platforms in Europe, Ukraine, with the active support of the European partners on the Seventh Framework Programme project, has carried out the first phase of Ukrainian technological platform for development advanced materials – UNTPAM. It is expected that the UNTPAM activities will cover all elements of the scientific development lifecycle, from idea to implementation, namely the formulation of scientific problems; development of new technologies and materials; solution to the problem of transfer of research results; brokering and marketing activities; legal issues. The article describes a number of priority tasks that should provide the prerequisites for the success of the technological platforms.
