Nobel Prize in Literature for 2017

Abstract

On October 5, the Nobel Committee at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the name of the Nobel Prize in Literature winner for 2017 – Kazuo Ishiguro, a British writer of Japanese descent. The award was given for his “novels of great emotional force”, in which he “has uncovered the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection with the world”, — says the official press release published on the website of the Nobel Committee.
