Geotectonic evolution and oil-gas potential of Ukraine

Abstract

The report presents the results of research on the geotectonic aspect of the process of oil and gas accumulation, analyzes the main stages of geotectonic development of oil and gas provinces of Ukraine in connection with the latest geological paradigm - the tectonics of lithospheric plates. It is emphasized that the development of scientifically grounded strategy and tactics of search and exploration of oil and gas deposits would increase their efficiency and strengthen the national security of the state and its energy independence.
