New approaches to the creation of antibiotics for the treatment of multi-resistant forms of tuberculosis

Abstract

The report is devoted to the actual problems of creating antibiotics against resistant forms of pathogenic bacteria, in particular tuberculosis sticks (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). According to the results of the work carried out at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of NAS of Ukraine, a number of compounds have been found that effectively inhibit the growth of tuberculosis sticks and are active against corresponding resistant strains. Two compounds are recommended for further preclinical and clinical studies.
