Abstract

The report examines the current state and prospects of the development of basic research in high temperature plasma physics and its technological applications, problems of thermonuclear reactors, materials science and engineering aspects of thermonuclear energy in Ukraine, especially considering the international nature, complexity and priority of the problem of controlled thermonuclear fusion in the world. Particular attention is paid to measures aimed at attracting the scientific institutions of NAS of Ukraine to the maximum participation in the European research fusion program EURATOM.
