Science: from present to future

Review of monograph "The image of science in a changing world" by V.I. Onopriyenko

Abstract

In view of the new material on the state of science in the last decade the monograph analyzes the changes both in science and in the methodology and methods of science studies, structure and direction of research tasks, relevance and effectiveness of the results. The questions of dialogue of science community with the authorities and the public, the impact on the science studies of the cognitive apparatus of sociology of science are discussed. Much attention is paid to the problems of academic science, its organization, resource state, and innovative capabilities.
