Safety management in the information society epoch

Abstract

The actual problems of safety management in Ukraine are discussed in this article. Ukraine lags behind the countries of European Union in the sphere of new safety management systems establishment. The root causes of this backwardness are investigated. The necessity of urgent transition of civil protection system of Ukraine to the new safety management paradigm based on risk-oriented approach is emphasized.
