Abstract

The book analyzes the results of modern research on the environmental characteristics of the spread of fungi, their relationships with other components of the biota. The phytopathological aspect of the relationship of fungi with plants is considered, as well as the role of fungi as human and animal pathogens. The prospects of practical applications of fungi and their metabolic products in medicine, pharmacology, biotechnology, agriculture and other spheres of human activity are discussed.
