August 9 was the 85th birthday of outstanding scientist in the field of theoretical physics, magnetic phenomena, solid state physics, Hero of Ukraine, laureate of State Prize in Science and Technology of Ukraine and the USSR, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, academician of Ukraine V.G. Bar'yakhtar.
