Secular variation of polar motion

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the restoration of the priority of famous astronomer and geophysicist, outstanding gravimetrist, one of the founders of geodynamics, Academician of Academy of Sciences of Ukrainian SSR O.Ya. Orlov (1880-1954), who according to astronomical observations for the first time defined the parameters of such a global phenomenon as secular variation of polar motion of the Earth.
