To the 130th anniversary of Nobel laureate Niels Bohr

Abstract

It’s pleasant to remember the extraordinary fact that in May 1934, Niels Bohr specially came to Kharkiv. The visit to UPTI of the Nobel Prize laureate, luminary of theoretical nuclear physics, was a priori authoritative immense support to both his brilliant student Lev Landau, and the re-organized Ukrainian Physico-Technical Institute.
