To 100th anniversary of academician E.M. Lifshitz and 80th anniversary of “Course of theoretical physics” by L.D. Landau and E.M. Lifshitz

Abstract

This year marks the 100^th anniversary of the birth of the famous scientist in the field of theoretical physics academician E.M. Lifshitz. Evgeny Mikhailovich was born in Kharkov on February 21, 1915, graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Mechanical Engineering, until 1939 he worked at the Ukrainian Physico-Technical Institute; colleague and Kharkov disciple of the scientific school of L.D. Landau.
