Abstract

This year, the scientific community celebrates the 150th anniversary of an outstanding scientist in the field of physical chemistry, the founder of electronic theories of redox reactions, the galvanic cell and heterogeneous catalysis, the laureate of the Lomonosov Prize (1899), the Lenin Prize (1930), founder and first director of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, which is named after him since 1936, Doctor of Chemical Sciences (1912), full member of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1925), Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1930) Lev V. Pisarzhevsky.
