Abstract

Ukrainian sociologists’ participation in the European Social Survey provides a science-based analysis of the socio-political processes in the country in the context of European social change, makes it possible to obtain a complete social profile of the population of Ukraine in comparison with most of the population of Europe. Comparative analysis of the empirical data revealed quite objective reasons for Ukraine’s accession to the EU, but its main problem in the way of European integration remains low in comparison with these countries parameters of satisfaction with the socio-economic situation, as well as the atmosphere of uncertainty in sufficient capacity and effectiveness of key institutions.
