Several Postulates of Academician V.I. Vernadsky as a Testament to the Universal Humanity for XXI Century

From the Point of View of the Ecologist

Abstract

The world is expecting the 150^th birth anniversary of the famous naturalist, mineralogist, geochemist, philosopher and futurologist, full Member of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, first President of NAS of Ukraine — V.I. Vernadsky. He was the founder of the doctrine on the role of living matter in earth cortex structure, evolution of biosphere as well as transformation of human intellect together with various activities operated with it into powerful geological force. The article emphasizes the topicality of the doctrine belonging to the academician V.I. Vernadsky which is concerned with the biosphere, living matter, pellicle of life, noosphere, huge geological power of human mind and its cybernetic function in the development of sociosphere as a sphere of universal mankind’s activities. Particular attention is paid to those postulates of V.I. Vernadsky which were supported by his disciples and which are fundamental to questions of human intellect integration with the aim of reasonable management of ecological, social and economic processes as well as conservation of biosphere as an irreplaceable sphere of human existence and providing sustainable development on Earth.
