The main sociocultural and paleoclimatic aspects of the first stages of peoplening and further colonization of the territory of Ukraine during Palaeolithic are discussed. Potentials and effectiveness of cooperation of archaeologists and paleogeographists in studying of early pre-history of the country is stressed. Special attention is paid to chronologically different concrete examples of interrelations between environment and prehistoric society.
