Abstract

It has been given the results of a luminescent properties investigation for a perspective class of nanoparticles, namely highly ordered molecular nanoclusters of organic luminophores (J-aggregates). It has been shown an influence of two mechanisms on the luminescence formation in the J-aggregates, which are exciton-phonon interaction and exciton transport. A possibility of luminescence properties control for the J-aggregates has been demonstrated. Examples of technical and biomedical applications of the J-aggregates have been provided.
