Social sciences in context of European modernization of Ukrainian higher education

Abstract

The paper describes the place and role of social sciences in analyzing the positive and negative tendencies at national educational system modernization according to the European instances. The author views the peculiarities of Bologna declaration introducing in Ukraine, points the major problems on that way. The author claims it’s necessary for Education ministry to change accents in guarantying to each college the right for independent choice of education structure and essence, of teaching and researching forms and methods, while the government institution has a right to elaborate and define the general strategy of higher education system.
