Classification of Chernobyl APP exclusion zone plants as per multizone space photography data

Abstract

As a result of investigations, it has been detected, that all vegetation communities in Chornobyl APP exclusion zone were influenced by radionuclides. The most evident changes are observed for pine forests. The 21 classes of vegetation were classified using satellite data. The results are confirmed by ground truth investigations.
