Peculiarities of grid-technology application in medicine

Abstract

Some problems of grid-technology pplications in medi cine are analyzed in the article. A matter of gridtech nology as a method to create common computing environment, which allows involving extra powerful eographically distributed computing resources for solving many tasks, is described. It is noted that grid-technologies in NAS of Ukraine already exist and are developed. The special features of medical grid-applications are discussed in details, the necessity of grid computations application in medical practical activity is substantiated. The examples of the medical applications in the world are given, high potential efficiency and prospects of gridtechnologies for medicine is emphasized.
