The report presents the research findings on the effect of oligoribonucleotides (ORNs) and their complexes with D-mannitol (ORNs-D-M) on the infectivity of influenza A H1N1 virus, pseudotyped lentiviral particles with the Spike protein of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in vitro and induced expression of innate immunity genes in response to influenza virus infection in vivo. It has been shown that ORNs drugs have a direct antiviral effect by nonspecific interaction with glycoproteins, the hemagglutinin of influenza virus and the Spike protein of coronavirus. Modulation of the innate immune response to influenza virus by binding of ORNs and ORNs-D-M to Toll-like receptors 3, 7 and 8 was investigated. Mechanisms of action of natural oligoribonucleotides and their complexes with D-mannitol, a drug with practical application, are proposed.
