The report presents some important results of fundamental and applied research of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine on the development of new ionomers and polymer electrolyte materials. The results obtained have great potential for practical application for the improvement of some industrial high-tech physicochemical processes in science-intensive sectors of the economy, in particular, they can contribute to the development of alternative energy, increasing the environmental and energy security of Ukraine.
