Abstract

The report is devoted to a review of the results of fundamental and applied research in the field of biomaterials science conducted at I.M. Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the NAS of Ukraine, in particular, on the creation and improvement of biomaterials for reconstructive and restorative medicine. For the first time in the NAS of Ukraine, such work was completed by developing a scheme for obtaining medical products and a quality management system in accordance with DSTU ISO 13485 and technical regulation No. 753 on medical products, which allows in clinical practice performing operations for the restoration of large bone fragments using individual implants made of modified calcium phosphate ceramics, manufactured using 3D printing.
