Implementation of simulation technologies in experimental studies of nuclear photofission

Abstract

Using simulation technologies (nuclear Monte Carlo codes — GEANT4, GEF, TALYS, and self-created computer programs), experimental values of relative and total yields of photofission products of actinides 232Th (17 values), 238U (14 values) and 239Pu (13 values) at the limiting bremsstrahlung photon energy of 17.5 MeV were obtained for the first time. The obtained results were included into the international experimental nuclear reaction data library EXFOR.
