Metal-organic frameworks — a new class of porous substances and functional materials

Abstract

The report is devoted to metal-organic frameworks — a new innovative class of crystalline compounds, which are characterized by controlled porosity and the possibility of selective interaction with chemical substrates, which ensures their significant potential and prospects for use in the creation of new functional materials for civil and special purposes. The contribution of Ukrainian scientific schools to the development of this relevant field is considered. Promising directions for further research into metal-organic frameworks and the scope of their practical applications are outlined.
