Idea of truth in social science in the frame of situational analysis

Abstract

The conditions of scientific theory truth in branches of social science are investigated taking into account their specific character. The authors come to the conclusion about possibility of thue social phenomenon perception in the traditional sence. To make it possible situational analysis method is proposed as a main method, applying this method the situational logic of subject behaviour i.e. invariant actions and motives can be singled out, that can serve as the object of generalization, formalization and empirical verification. This method helps to overcome two main obstacles in social phenomena perception and forecast — a lack of tough determinism in people mental states and presence of free will.
