Nuclear power engineering: arguments “pro” and “contra”

Abstract

The author analyzes the impact of Chornobyl disaster on nuclear power engineering development prospects in the world and in Ukraine. Positive and negative issues of power plant operation are considered, the development of reliable methods of long-term radioactive waste storage is underlined.
