May 3, 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the famous theoretical physicist, specialist in the theory of cryocrystals, magnetic phenomena, disordered systems, superconductivity, twice laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (1977, 1990), Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2000), laureate of the V.I. Vernadsky Gold Medal of the NAS of Ukraine (2014), laureate of the K.D. Synelnikov Prize of the NAS of Ukraine (1985) and the M.M. Bogolyubov Prize of the NAS of Ukraine (2006), Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the NAS of Ukraine (since 2004), head of the Department of Theory of Nonlinear Processes in Condensed Media of the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the NAS of Ukraine (1993—2017), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1983), Professor (1997), Academician of the NAS of Ukraine (2003) Vadym M. Loktev.
