Abstract

The report explores certain facets of the unique creative personality of Ivan Franko – poet, scholar, translator, literary historian, ethnographer, publicist, public and political figure, analyzes the development of modern academic Franko studies, examines the main issues and the most important achievements of recent years in this direction. Special attention is given to representative activities involving academic institutions aimed at honoring at the state level the memory of Ivan Franko, including the implementation of “Franko Encyclopedia” publishing project in 7 volumes.
