Abstract

The report provides the analysis of the development of thermoelectricity and the contribution made by the national scientific achievements to this trend. The role the Ukrainian scientists play in the international scientific and organizational activity in the field of thermoelectricity is highlighted. The description of novel approaches to the theory of thermoelectric energy conversion and thermoelectric material science is presented as well as the efficiency of their implementation into practical applications of thermoelectricity with such priorities as instrument engineering, power engineering, energy saving and medicine
