Abstract

The report is dedicated to the current activities on development of neutron absorbing materials for nuclear reactor control and protection systems, carried out at the National Science Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" and aimed at scientific and technical support of the nuclear fuel cycle in Ukraine. The most significant results of fundamental and applied research in the area of nuclear materials science, design and manufacturing technologies of absorber elements for various reactor types, including small modular reactors that are planned to be implemented in the nuclear energy structure of Ukraine, are considered.
