Publishing projects of NAS of Ukraine: gender studies

The article reveals the main aspects of the gender distribution of authors of books from the publishing projects of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The data on the number of women in the authors’ collectives of book publications from the projects “Scientific Book”, “Scientific Book. Young Scientists”, “Ukrainian Scientific Book in a Foreign Language”, and “Science for All” are analyzed and summarized. The peculiarities of the gender balance of authorship in the books of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the period 2020—2023 were identified, and the obtained data were compared with the indicators from the beginning of the projects to 2019 inclusive. It was found that the share of female authors participating in the writing of books under four general academic projects is increasing. The change in the share of female authors by sections and departments of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is characterized.
