National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: results of activities for 2023 and main tasks for the next period

Session of the General Meeting of the NAS of Ukraine, April 24, 2024

Abstract

On April 24, 2024, a session of the General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was held to discuss the results of the NAS of Ukraine's activities in 2023 and prospects for the near future. The participants of the session heard and discussed the report of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine A.G. Zagorodny, which presented the most significant results of the Academy's basic and applied research in a wide range of fields of scientific knowledge and practical applications. During the event, the Vernadsky Gold Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the prizes named after outstanding scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "For the Popularization of Science" were awarded.
