The report is devoted to the current problems of Ukraine's legal policy in the context of European integration, in particular, its components such as the human right to peace, state veteran policy, and lawmaking. The right to peace is seen as having both a collective and individual character. It is based on the desire to reach an agreement between states and their peoples, as well as between individual citizens and their associations within a particular society, and to peacefully resolve any conflict situations at the macro and micro levels. A separate vector is the analysis of the essential characteristics of rulemaking in the context of current challenges and priorities. The rulemaking activity is analyzed with due regard for the instrumental and substantial typologizing elements. It is noted that one of the priority areas for the development of rulemaking activity at the present stage is veteran policy and the forms of its implementation. The author emphasizes that rulemaking at all levels should ensure human rights and freedoms.
