Current problems of the functioning of scientific periodicals in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Abstract

The article discusses the current problems related to changes in the functioning of scientific periodicals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in particular, the recently adopted documents "Regulations on the Open Access Journal of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" and "Procedure for the Functioning of the Program for Supporting Journals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine". The authors analyze the compliance of the publications currently included in the Program for Supporting Journals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the requirements of the Regulation. The need to comply with the Law of Ukraine "On Media" is emphasized and possible ways to improve the organization of the process of reviewing scientific works are identified.
