Radiation technologies in different branches of national economy (developments of Institute for Nuclear Research of NAS of Ukraine)

Abstract

The materials, presented in this paper, reflect research results of new perspective approaches of using radiation technologies to obtain materials and products with original properties which are not available yet with other methods. The ways of efficiency enhancement of radiation technologies in traditional industry branches are defined, and the perspectives of using them for the production of new construction materials, for building industry and operational control of resource indicators of critical equipment of NPPs are found and tested. The original ways of using low and ultralow energy ions for the production of high quality food are worked out and tested.
