Abstract

In summary the article reveals the essence, theoretical and practical values of discovered by the colloid chemistry scientists 30 years ago the phenomenon of selective heterocoagulation of colloidal mineral particles with microorganisms. Fundamental and applied results obtained by scientists of Ovcharenko Institute of Biocolloidal Chemistry of NAS of Ukraine during studying of the discovery formed the basis of modern scientific trends: biocolloidal chemistry, biogeochemistry, colloidal biotechnology, and within them — biosynthesis of nanosized particles of metals and their compounds, nanopharmacy, nanomedicine and nanoveterinary, biogeotechnology, biocolloidal ecology.
