Abstract

On May 20, 2014 two international conferences dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture – “Slavic World in the Cultural Space of the XXI Century” and “Taras Shevchenko in the Slavic World” – were held in Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The events were organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Ukrainian Committee of Slavic Studies; Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine; Rylskyi Institute of Art, Folklore Studies and Ethnology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Shevchenko Institute of Literature of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Institute of Ukrainian Language of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Potebnia Institute of Linguistics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Ukrainian Linguistics and Informational Fund of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
